Piano Peanor

Mozart Music Center
September Tuesday 13th, 7 pm, Chenla Theater

director: Dr.Hang Rithyravuth Acting Dean of Faculty of Music (RUFA)

An original creation that plays with a dialog between two worlds. Instruments and singers enjoy going beyond the borders of the musical styles: the piano, a musical instrument par excellence of classical music, ventures into the scores of traditional Cambodian music, and a tenor is accompanied by a classical Cambodian ensemble. Skillfully using metaphors inspired from Khmer tradition, the play tells the story of a family whose members, professors at a Fine Arts school, are lost during the civil war. The wife of the brother-in-law embarks on a quest to find her husband.
