Lakhon Khol - the Final Battle
Having received Hanuman's report on Preah Neang Seda (Sita), Preah Ream (Rama) and Preah Leak (Lakshmana) proceed towards the shore of the southern sea. They are joined by Hanuman and his monkey armies who build a bridge to reach the kingdom of Lanka where is kept Preah Neang Seda.
Preah Ream and Krung Reap, standing on the charriot fight each other with magic weapons. Then they fight in hand to hand combat. Preah Ream cuts off one of the giant's heads. It falls to the ground, but instantly another head grows back in its place. He cuts again, a second head falls but another head grows in its place. Krung Reap seems to be indestructible.
Neither Preah Ream nor Krung Reap is on the upper hand. The battle has reached a point where both sides are exhausted, no arrows, superpower weapons or command of monsters. Piphek the astrologist is charged by Preah Ream to find out Krung Reap’s secret. His death is hidden in his body. Preah Preah Ream must aim at Krung Reap’s heart with the special weapon.
With his sharp arrows, Preah Ream then pierces the chest-region of Krung Reap who dies after taking that strike. The war comes to an end. Preah Ream can finally reunite with his wife, Preah Neang Seda.
