Garuda (an excerpt)
20110225 Chenla

Garuda is a work initially created in 2003 by the choreographer Hun Pen, and developed over the course of the years through major artistic encounters such as the 78 Khmer Drum Orchestra by H.E. Hun Sarin.
Although based in Cambodian tradition, the work is meant to be contemporary, dynamic and different. Its choreography explores intercultural relations, questions of identity and involvement-- but love plays a part as well.
On both evenings of the Roam performances, Hun Pen will first present an excerpt from this spectacle lasting fifteen minutes.

Interpreters: Seng Kalivan, Hun Pen, Ping Chumnith, Sok Sidony, Chum Niratanak, Yim Phokny
